Old Friends, New Sins

Tasting notes

Dasha likes the finer things, and her boyfriend, Niko, is suddenly out of money. Over dinner his card gets declined, and his steady best friend steps in to pay without a flinch. Dasha takes notice. Episode 1 is a testing game across the table, where she names her price and he calmly declines to haggle. Episode 2 drives the three of them home, with Niko exhausted, generous and oblivious, and invites the friend to stay in the guest wing, where it is very private. Her plan is simple, but he does not play along.

Flavor profile

She expects to be chased, he refuses, and the power quietly changes hands. Betrayal here wears a nice coat. The free episodes rely on banter, a paid check and one late invitation.

Allergy advice Contains: designer labels, unpaid bills and a friend with an annoyingly firm spine. May contain traces of loyalty tested to destruction.

Best enjoyed Pour it for date night with someone who also likes a good battle of wits.
