Ava is deep in wedding prep, and her fiance, Brad, cannot be bothered to show up for any of it. So her stepbrother, Leo, gets the job of standing in. Today he is Brad: he tries the dress shop, tests the vows and rehearses the big moment. Episode 1 stays on that setup, with Ava giving instructions about where hands go and Leo insisting, in his best harmless voice, that he is only helping. The ceremony is the joke, and the rehearsal kiss is the dare nobody can stop thinking about. Her phone keeps ringing.
