Harriet walks into a London office on day one convinced she's the only person in the building who wasn't hired for her looks. The boss notices her anyway, and gets so flustered that his welcome speech turns into a small disaster. His personal assistant, who has run his calendar for ages and assumes that includes his attention, watches with a smile that slowly stops working. Episode 1 serves the clumsy hello and a dinner invitation that goes nowhere. Episode 2 walks Harriet through the supply cupboard and a rack of company hoodies while the office gossips outside the door and the assistant keeps score.
