With the wedding days away, the groom watches his fiancée's mother veto his bachelor party at a crowded family table. Humiliating, sure. Then brunch mimosas send her daughter off for a nap, and the mother-in-law waves him into another room to announce a private substitute. Episode 1 is all hushed voices, a fiancée asleep overhead and the feeling that the house rules have been rewritten. Episode 2 brings in Bianca, the godmother, plus a plan for the evening that the groom did not sign off on, and he burns through every excuse he owns. Nobody here is as shocked as they pretend to be.
