My bestie betrayed me

Tasting notes

Emma has a boyfriend named Ryan and a best friend named Mia, and episode 1 ends with her holding neither. She tracks Ryan down, climbs the stairs, and finds the two of them together. His first move is a stammered excuse, and it lands about as well as you'd expect. Episode 2 brings the morning after, where Ryan polishes a smoother story: Mia was drunk, Mia started it, and nobody will ever side with Emma. She answers by handing Mia the whole package, bow included. It's a revenge story that opens with a slammed door and a very quiet sugar crash.

Flavor profile

Betrayal is the power play: two people Emma trusted rewrite the night while she stands there. The line crossed is loyalty, the aftertaste is pure spite, and the free episodes stay on drama, doorways and pointed looks.

Allergy advice Contains: cheating, flimsy alibis and one friendship past its sell-by date. May contain traces of poetic justice.

Best enjoyed Best saved for the evening you want to watch someone else's ex get exactly what's coming to him.
