Kitty wakes him with purring, breakfast and a ridiculous amount of affection. He plays along, but a text and some news change the mood: he has won a scholarship, and it means leaving. Episode 1 turns the cuddles into a breakup scene with a locked door and a crying girlfriend. Episode 2 drops the cat act entirely: he admits she only acts like that because he likes it, she begs to keep his shirt, and they trade kisses before the goodbye. It is sweet, a bit silly and sadder than the cat ears suggest.
