Tasting notes
Rome's most celebrated general is at war with Egypt's queen, and his staff is nervous about how well she fights. In episode 1 an adviser tempts him with a thought he can't shake: Cleopatra, conquered at his war table. Then the queen herself appears, and Caesar insists he's a married man, not a pushover. Episode 2 opens just after her army has attacked his camp. She visits him at night, he calls it a mistake, and she calls his bluff, before revealing a secret she learned that very morning.
