Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law

Tasting notes

Newlyweds Tom and Ava should be in paradise at their beach resort, a week after the wedding. Then Ava's mother Lexi turns up poolside, announces she booked the room next door and smiles that she is only there to check on her daughter. Lexi appears only as a licensed AI twin of the real Lexi Luna, who never filmed a frame. Episode 1 is sunburned small talk with a lot of subtext while Ava runs a bath. In episode 2 Tom is torn between guilt and temptation, whispering about walls that carry sound.

Flavor profile

Taboo with a tan: the mother-in-law sets the pace while the groom hopes politeness is a defense. Marriage is the line at stake. Free episodes give you lingering glances, double meanings and a hotel door that sticks open.

Allergy advice Contains: sunscreen, awkward toasts and a mother's meddling at its most ambitious. May contain traces of newlywed regret.

Best enjoyed Best for a vacation week when you'd rather someone else's trip went sideways than your own.
